1. The two licence types
- Regular licence: use the item in one end product or one production deployment. An end product is a single website, shop, app or system that you or your client use. It is not charged for as access to the item itself.
- Extended licence: use the item in a software-as-a-service or multi-tenant product that you charge others to use. One Extended licence covers one such product.
If you build for several clients or run several sites, buy a licence for each end product.
2. What you can do
- Install the item and use it in the end product the licence covers, in production and in the development and testing copies of that end product.
- Change the item for your own end product. Changes stay under this licence.
- Hand the finished end product to your client together with the item, as part of that end product.
- Keep using the version you downloaded for as long as you like.
3. What you cannot do
- Resell, share, publish, sublicense or give away the item, a modified copy or its source code on its own, or as part of a template, theme or product that is not a single end product.
- Use one licence for several end products, or use a Regular licence in a product that charges others for access to the item's functions (that needs an Extended licence).
- Share your licence key or your download with people outside your end product.
- Remove licence, copyright or author notices from the item.
- Use the item to build a competing marketplace or a service that distributes the item.
4. Updates and support
Each item says whether you get updates for life or updates while support lasts, and how many months of support are included. Support starts on the day of purchase and is given by the seller.
With updates for life you can download every new release. With updates while support lasts you can download releases published until your support period ends; releases published later need a new purchase. Releases you already downloaded stay yours to use.
5. Your licence key
We issue a licence key with every purchase. It is linked to your order and your account, and you find it with your downloads. A seller can check whether a key you show them is valid, which licence type it is and whether support is active, but they do not learn who you are from it.
6. When a licence ends
A licence ends if the purchase is refunded, if the payment is reversed, or if we withdraw it because the terms were broken. When a licence ends you must stop using the item.
7. Open-source parts and other terms
An item page may say that all or part of an item's code is under an open-source licence, or that it includes other people's components. Where such a licence gives you more rights than this page, that licence applies to that code. These terms never take away rights an open-source licence gives you.
8. Questions
If you are not sure which licence you need, ask us before you buy. See also the Terms of Service and the Refund Policy.
