Description
Chat with customers in one click, without any API
WhatsApp Click-to-Chat adds a WhatsApp button next to the customer's phone number on Contacts, Sales Orders and Invoices. Click it and WhatsApp (the phone app, Desktop or Web) opens in a chat with that customer, with a message already typed from your own template.
There is nothing to connect: no Meta Cloud API, no business verification, no tokens, no monthly fee. The message is sent by your team from their own WhatsApp, so it stays a normal one-to-one conversation.
What you get

Light and safe
Pure Odoo: two small Python models and one tiny widget, no external service, no stored tokens. Customer numbers never leave your Odoo except in the link your own browser opens.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need the WhatsApp Business API or a Meta account?
No. The module only opens a wa.me link in the browser or the app. Messages are sent from the WhatsApp account of the person who clicks.
Can it send messages automatically or in bulk?
No, on purpose. It is for one-to-one chats started by your team. Automatic or bulk messages need the official API and are outside this module.
Does it work on a phone, on WhatsApp Desktop and on WhatsApp Web?
Yes. wa.me opens whichever WhatsApp the device offers.
Where do I change the message?
Settings → WhatsApp: one template for contacts, one for sales orders, one for invoices, per company.
Which Odoo versions and apps does it need?
Odoo 19.0 with Sales and Invoicing. It adds buttons to Contacts, Sales Orders and Invoices.
How are phone numbers handled?
Spaces, dashes and brackets are removed, + and 00 are understood, and local numbers get the country code of the contact's or the company's country. Invalid numbers show a clear message.
Is anything stored or sent to a third party?
No. Nothing is stored except an optional note in the chatter, and the number only appears in the link your own browser opens.
Does it support Arabic?
Yes. The module ships an Arabic translation, the templates are translatable, and the documentation is available in Arabic with right-to-left layout.
