Checkout Field Editor for WooCommerce lets you add your own fields to the checkout: a GST/VAT number, delivery instructions, a company registration number, a dropdown, a checkbox. Fields are validated, saved securely with the order, and shown on the admin order screen, in emails, on the thank-you page and in My Account.
It is a small, focused plugin: no page builder, no heavy scripts, no slow queries. Object-oriented PHP on standard WooCommerce hooks.
Translation-ready, RTL-friendly. Saved data lives in one order meta key (_tqcf_data), easy to read in your own code. Order data is never deleted when you uninstall.

Yes. A GST/VAT Number field is created on activation. You can rename it, make it required and choose a validation rule such as EU VAT or India GSTIN.
