A complete daily site reporting, punch-list and delivery inspection system: an Odoo module for the project office and an offline-first Flutter app for the foremen, in one package.

The foreman's app: weather, crews, machines and delays in one daily log

For the foreman

  • The daily log in minutes: weather (read from the phone's position when online, typed when not), delays by category, crews by subcontractor and trade with regular and overtime hours, machine meters, idle, breakdown and fuel, photos and a finger signature
  • Industrial UI: large haptic counters, one-handed buttons, light and dark mode for sun and night, phone and tablet layouts
  • Blueprints with pins: PDF sheets drawn page by page in vector quality, pinch to zoom, drop a pin with severity, trade, target date and a photo with markup
  • Deliveries against purchase orders: type what arrived per line, reject damaged pieces, photograph the ticket and the vehicle plate, scan or read the ticket number; a short delivery leaves a backorder
  • Works without signal: every record is saved on the phone and sent once, in order, with safe retries

  • Budget versus actual per site: labor, equipment, material and other, variance, percent used and cost performance index
  • Labor and equipment costs posted the same day to the analytic account of the site from the foreman's log; material from validated receipts (or posted vendor bills)

  • Punch list with a strict workflow (open, in review, rectified with an after photo, closed by the PM), history and overdue tracking; the plan viewer in Odoo shows every pin on its sheet
  • Approve or reject daily logs with a reason; printable daily report with weather, crews, machines, delays, deliveries, photos and signatures

Frequently asked questions

What do I get?

The Odoo 19 module (sites with geofence and budget, daily logs, trades and rate cards, equipment, drawings and the punch list, deliveries as digital goods-received notes, budget versus actual, reports, the API for the app) and the complete Flutter source code of the offline jobsite app for Android and iOS, with setup script, documentation in English and Arabic, and automated tests.

Does it need Odoo Enterprise?

No. It works on Odoo 19 Community and uses only Project, Timesheets (for the analytic account of the project), Purchase, Inventory and Invoicing. No Enterprise screen is required.

Does the app work without internet?

Yes. Logs, photos, pins and deliveries are written to the phone first and sent to Odoo when there is a connection, once and in order, with safe retries. Drawings are downloaded once per revision and open offline. The weather service needs a connection; offline the foreman types the weather.

How are the labor costs calculated?

Headcount × hourly rate × (regular hours + overtime hours × overtime multiplier). The rate comes from a rate card (project and subcontractor, project, subcontractor) or from the default rate of the trade. Foremen never see rates or costs; quantity surveyors and project managers do.

How does the delivery receipt (GRN) work?

The foreman picks an open purchase order of the site, types the quantity received per line (and rejected quantities with a reason), takes the ticket and vehicle plate photos and can scan or read the ticket number. Odoo validates the receipt with the counted quantities; a short delivery leaves a backorder on the purchase order.

How are the blueprint pins stored?

As a page number and a position between 0 and 1 of the page width and height, so a pin dropped on a phone appears at the same spot on a tablet, in Odoo and on paper. PDFs are drawn page by page in vector quality; pictures use the same viewer.

Can several sites and companies use it?

Yes. Each foreman sees only the sites he is assigned to. The app has a site picker with the distance to each site, the geofence can be enforced per site, and the records follow the company of the site.

Is it available in Arabic?

Yes. The module, the app and the documentation come in English and Arabic, with right-to-left screens and a separate Arabic font.
