AI Post and Product Translator translates a post, a page or a WooCommerce product with your own AI account and saves the result as a linked draft in the target language. It does not need WPML, Polylang or TranslatePress: the links between translations live in post meta.
What is translated
Title, content and excerpt (the short description of a product)
SEO title and description of Yoast SEO, Rank Math, SEOPress and AI SEO Meta Generator when they are filled
Custom product attributes (names and values), and optionally the alt, title, aria-label and placeholder attributes in the content
Block-safe, or nothing is saved
Only the text is sent: block comments, JSON settings, links, shortcodes and code stay byte for byte
Inline formatting becomes placeholders; your glossary is always applied; the do-not-translate list, SKUs, product codes, e-mail addresses and phone numbers never leave your site
Every answer is validated: same placeholders, no new markup, links or shortcodes, the same blocks, tags and links as the original. A broken answer is retried once, then refused

Bulk with a cost estimate
Pick items and languages, see the characters, requests, tokens and estimated cost, then start a background run with progress, pause, resume and cancel. A daily limit (200 requests by default) pauses it.
On the site
A language switcher (block, shortcode, widget) for the published translations, hreflang alternate links with x-default, and the lang attribute of translated pages.
Per language, Arabic first-class
Formality, tone and the slug policy (transliterate, translated title, or original slug + code) per language. Arabic works as a source and as a target.
WPML and Polylang
When one of them is active the plugin works in copy-out mode (review, copy, JSON download) or, if you choose, registers the drafts through their documented API. It never writes into their tables. These interfaces were checked in their documentation and tested with stand-ins, not with the real plugins.
Honest limits
The AI can be wrong: every translation is a draft for a person to read. It is not a full multilingual system: no language prefixes in URLs, no translated menus or theme strings. Text inside block JSON settings and the alt text of media library items are not translated. Tested with a local stand-in model, not with every provider.

199 automated checks: placeholder protection, structure validation against hostile AI answers, linking and outdated detection, hreflang and switcher escaping, WPML/Polylang detection and API calls, the bulk run lifecycle, permissions and uninstall.

Requirements

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an AI account?+
Yes. The plugin works with your own account at an OpenAI-compatible service (OpenAI, OpenRouter, Azure, a local server such as Ollama) or at Anthropic. You pay your provider for what you use; the plugin has no usage fees.
Is anything published automatically?+
No. Every translation is a draft. A translation that is already published is never changed by the AI: a new version waits on the review screen until a person applies it.
Will it break my blocks?+
It is built not to: only the text is sent, block comments, JSON settings, links and shortcodes stay as they are, and every answer is checked against the structure of the original. A result that does not match is refused and nothing is saved. Text stored inside block JSON settings is not translated.
Do I need WPML or Polylang?+
No. Translations are linked through post meta. If WPML or Polylang is active, the plugin switches to copy-out mode, or registers its drafts through their documented API if you choose that. We did not run WPML or Polylang ourselves.
Does it translate WooCommerce products?+
Yes: title, description, short description, SEO fields and custom attributes. The product is copied with the WooCommerce duplicate feature (price, images, variations); variation attributes are kept, categories are mapped when you linked their translations. Prices and stock are not synchronised afterwards.
Can I control terms and brand names?+
Yes. Glossary rules are always applied, and the do-not-translate list, SKUs, product codes, links and e-mail addresses are never sent to the AI.
Does it work with Arabic?+
Yes, as a source and as a target, with formal Modern Standard Arabic by default, right-to-left review screens and transliterated slugs. The plugin itself is translated into Arabic.
How much will it cost?+
It depends on your provider and model. Before a bulk run you see the characters, requests, tokens and an estimated cost from the prices you enter; a daily limit (200 requests by default) stops runaway costs.
Is my content sent to Taqnix?+
No. Text goes only to the AI provider you choose. Links, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, SKUs and your do-not-translate words are replaced by placeholders and never sent.
